Minako is the former Princess of Venus. Having been found by her guardian cat, Artemis, before Luna awoke any other Senshi, Minako fought crime as Sailor V for many months before Sailor Moon first trasformed, and had merchandise such as the Sailor V video game to her name!

Sailor V faked her own death in England to get over a broken heart and returned to Japan, where she finally met with the rest of the inner Senshi. Originally posing as a decoy Princess (in the Manga at least, the real Princess was Sailor Moon), she was revealed to be the leader of the Sailor Senshi and the Princess' right hand.

She is a flamboyant, cheery individual, who has a lot in common with Usagi, not least of which is her passion for Idols. She has high aspirations of one day becoming an Idol herself, and is a talented singer. Her mischief in this department is fully realised in the Sailor Stars series, where she practically turns into a stalker for the Three Lights!

Minako is also very talented at volleyball, and indeed, most forms of physical sports. She is one of the most outgoing Senshi and gets on especially well with younger children. On the downside, she can sometimes just.. try a little too hard when it comes to helping her friends as they would testify to when they all caught the cold.

Minako is an only child and lives with her parents in the city.

On a side note, her name translation different slightly from the otehr Senshi simply because she was created (as the Sailor V comic hero) before them, so her name and it's alternate meaning do not follow the pattern of everyone else.
