Makoto can turn into the most physical of the inner Senshi, Sailor Jupiter. Formerly the Princess of her named planet during the Silver Millennium, she now attends the same school as Usagi. She was transferred there after being booted out of her previous school for fighting. As a result of this she still wears the old uniform, as Juuban Junior High didn't make uniforms in her size.

Standing at 5'06" at the age of 14, Makoto is the tallest and most physically developned of the inner senshi. When fighting she is likely to try and engage in hand to hand combat as well as use her Senshi powers, and is well versed in this field with a sound knowledge of karate. Her powers come from the clouds and she can control and shoot forks and balls of lightning from her hands. She also has a small lightning rod that appears from her tiara to catch the energy when she calls on her guardian planet.

She found it difficult to make friends at her new school as people tended to avoid her, branding her a trouble maker in light of her previous school record. This didn't bother Usagi, however, who made friends with her on account of wanting some of her lunch! This is also one of Makoto's strong points, she is an excellent cook and very independant. She is also very strong-willed, and is a driving force for the rest of her fellow Senshi during rough times.

While having a somewhat masculine character, Makoto does have a very feminine side, demonstrated by her proficiency in homekeeping, cooking and of course her infamous weakness with guys. Exactly how many ex boyfriend's she had is anybody's guess, but going by the number of guys that remind her of an ex it must be well into double figures!

Makoto's parents died in a plane crash when she was very young, and even at her early age she lives alone and looks after herself. This is probably the main reason for her being so domestically talented and independant.
